OECD 411/OCSPP 870,33: Dermal toxicity study (subchronic, 90-day)

OECD 411/OCSPP 870,33 is a validated test to identify health hazards of dermal application of a solid or liquid test substance. This method is composed of two tests (main and limit) and is intended for use with the adult rat, rabbit or guinea pig. The chemical of interest is repeatedly applied for several hours daily over 90 days, over not less than 10 percent of the body surface area. The results this test can provide include measurements and daily and detailed observations (ophthalmological examination, hematology, clinical biochemistry and urinalysis), as well as gross necropsy and histopathology.
